Owlet Cottage ADU

With a compact footprint of 600sf, the Owlet Cottage is a small ADU on a corner lot in the heart of downtown Ojai. Named after the native screech owls, this home is built with an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, expansive windows/ doors, and a large deck. Many of the finish materials are reclaimed and recycled.

With construction cost of $400K, this sweet little 1BR/1BA unit offers plenty of amenities for outdoor living. Nestled under a large oak tree, the unit is tucked away at the rear of the property for privacy.

Located in a prime residential neighborhood, the cottage is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We worked meticulously with the owners, Seal and Scooter Graeber, and contractor, Tyler Turner, to create a design that embodies sustainability in all aspects. We are so excited to bring the Owlet to life. Construction will be completed in Sept 2025!

This vision for this ADU is to provide much needed housing in the little town of Ojai, where real estate prices have skyrocketed. Our beloved clients have achieved this vision beautifully, providing a place for long-time Ojai residents a place to call home.
